thanks DT.     Luckily the plus battery had enough juice for the return trip,  although now im almost at 500 charges on one it will complain about reduced power around 28%.  I think when I get to 500 it will get retired.

You're most welcome DA.  Seems you've definitely got your money's worth out of the plus battery.  You're probably tired of getting the battery nags by now also.  

I just noticed this morning that the Neo Fly More Combo in the UK includes the RC-N3 but the one that you can pre-order in the US does NOT include the RC-N3 and you have to purchase it separately.  I had contemplated getting one for my grandson that loves to fly drones but I think I'll hold off and upgrade his Mini 3 Pro to the Mini 5 Pro as soon as it is released (providing DJI isn't banned before that).

We get drone only or fly more with remote and more batteries.      Im really not sold on it myself,   but if they add the indoor aero modes I might be tempted to go drone only as it will use the goggles from the avata etc.

Theyve done a good job of making it compatible with all the current controllers,   but not the original DJI RC.

The original RC reminds me of the original Mini.  It was an experiment that they moved on from rather quickly.  Even my RC pro is not compatible with all my drones.  It will be intresting to see if a newer remote controller comes out with the Air 3S.

I just wish when they released a remote it was backwards compatible to all the other drones out there.     Fair enough not supporting all the new stuff,  but the old seems fair to me.
