Hello,
I am a new drone user, and just getting to grips with the function of the Mini 4 Pro.

Could somebody please tell me how I can take still photographs of fast moving objects (i.e. transport objects). I have tried just pressing the camera shutter but it seems a very precise action when the subject I am trying to photograph (not video) is travelling at speed, and invaribaly I am not getting the optimum photo as the subject is either too small in the photo (pressing the shutter too soon) or the subject has gone out of the ideal frame (pressing the shutter too late!).

Is the best way to get my optimum photo, to take a video of the subject and then extract a screen shot of the prime photo I want - if so, can I take a RAW image from a video?

Attached is the sort of photo I am looking to take ideally with a drone from a safe distance.

Many thanks for your help.

That's a lovely image. Taking a screen grab from a video can work, but that's usually a .PNG file (in Windows at least).
Not sure if you can extract a .RAW image that way.

In camera mode you're using the entire sensor rather than a crop for video,  so either get closer or crop in post to get the framing you desire.

Make sure your focus is either set or on manual (infinity usually for me), so the actual capture happens right after the shutter button press.
Other than that, just practice a lot.
It's not difficult, but requires some practice.
And with a flying drone, there is a lot going on in your brain, so it is hard to focus on that part of the job.
You can also try the multi exposure option and just fire a rapid succession of shots and select the best one later
