Looking back at the history of the Inspire 2, the zenmuse X5s gimbal camera came out in 2016 with the Inspire 2.  Then a year later in 2017 October, the Zenmuse X7 is capable of recording 6K 14-bit Apple ProRes RAW, came out which was a step above the X5s in image quality

If we were to follow this track record, the inspire 3 should be getting an update to the X9 such as the X10.  I love the image that the X9 puts out especially in low light; however, no one can deny it's tendancy to overexpose and blow out footage over bodies of water on a bright sunny day with pro res raw footage.  So much so that even a 5 stop ND filter is not strang enough to save your mid-day footage.

Then there's the other issues with extreme rolling shutter when filming 30 fps or less as well as not having continous autofucus which is a pain for a solo operator or when shooting sports.

So can we expect to see an zenmuse x10 in the near future with imoroved quality and resolution, built in ND filters, and continuous autofocus

Id highly doubt we would see any update on the X9 very soon. If anything the upgrade cycle has been slowing since the initial launch of the inspire series.

The only thing that would make me consider switching cameras at this point would be internal ND filters or a lens mount thats a more open standard. Rolling shutter improvements would also be desirable but I don't see the effect enough in what I soot to make it worthwhile. The dynamic range is already extremely good.

As for autofocus, I think you really need to get a focus puller on jobs with you if its a big issue, I see you post about it a lot.

Can a solo pilot function with a focus puller while flying the drone to follow racing cars at the same time?

Im not convinced a solo pilot can follow a racing car and frame it very well, never mind worry about focus.
