So, yesterday I updated my Air 3 to v01.00.1500 of the firmware, together with the RC2 controller.I've seen other people reporting strange issues like flight speed up to 120 km/h in Sport mode, etc...
I didn't have that, but I had an odd issue where the drone tried to avoid obstacles that didn't exist.

I went to a large field and flew straight, the drone was rolling left and right by itself, and climbing. The sensors are clean, and it's not my controller, because in sport mode or with the sensors off this doesn't happen.

Has anyone else here had this issue after updating?

Oh, and also it reset all the settings on my drone and controller (I also updated the smart RC2 remote) so I had to set up everything from scratch, which is super annoying.

Some updates do a factory reset of your Dji Fly settings so you have to always check that after updates, why your drone is avoiding invisible obstacles, That is a strange one. On the RC Screen, does it show an abject in front of when it does that? Does the radar beep?

I haven't checked the radar, I'll see that on the next flight, thanks for the suggestion!

I have read in rare cases the sensors can be affected if going towards the sun or in some bright environments. Is that possibly why in your cases. OA sensors are basically just small cameras and if they can’t see or blinded they may be affected. I’m having no issues with my Air 3 on the new firmware.

I had that false alarm a few times when the sun was low shining directly to sensor(s) but never experienced flight path correction AFAIK... I'm still on older fw. at the moment.

Maybe that's it. I was flying during sunset.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out and we do apologize for the trouble caused. Could you please conduct test flights in various environments and avoid flying directly towards the sun, as the glare can sometimes affect the sensors ?

if the issue persists, kindly share us the video recording for us to forward it t our engineering team and investigate further.

Thank you for your understanding and support!

As well as several alarms from barn swallows flying around, usually when the drone was taking pictures...

I think it was a sun reflection issue. I flew during noon and it didn't happen. So it's safe to update!
