I find it confusing that DJI would release their newest Ronin gimbal without being compatible with the Canon C70. It is a very popular and reliable camera in the industry. A new firmware update would be amazing, as it would allow me to use the Rs 4 Pro features that make the product great. The "compatible" Canon cameras are much smaller "photography" based cameras that may be even less popular for someone who is purchasing the payload that the 4 Pro offers. For someone like me in the industry (a run and gun single-man video producer), making the Ronin RS 4 Pro compatible with the Canon C70 would be a game changer. I am open to hearing any solutions others have for this very camera. As mentioned before, I operate mostly solo, so having a focus puller and other operators is not at my disposal on a regular basis.

The reason I wrote this is because I originally reached out to DJI and they said it was not compatible and to check the list. They sent me the list and said it wasn't on there. I just checked after posting and it has made the list. Am I missing something? Is there a new firmware? I have attached a screen shot of the list.

Do you by any chance get the C70 to start recording when connected via raven eye with the RS4 Pro? A reddit post suggests it's working that way. Would be all I need atm.

Apart from that: PLEASE DJI, make the C70 compatible with the RS4 (thinking of buying one, have the RS2 atm). The RS3 Pro is compatible, so you should've figured out how the controls protovoll works!?

I just got the RS4 Pro + Lidar Pro for my C70 because of a reddit thread that confirmed that record start/stop works with the C70! And it does! You just have to make sure in the network settings of the C70 that they are disabled. You can use the record trigger of the Ronin, as well as the record trigger via Raveneye. For me that's enough to get work done with that combo.
I also use a second iPad that is connected to the C70 via a Wifi Dongle to change settings on the C70 remotely.
