Great pic - I’ve watched these being made at the Cheshire show and they only use a chainsaw - amazing

With the saw dust on the floor it seems that way,  although I think they applied a dye.

Hopefully a preservative. One that I shot at Euxton h0spital decades ago (an upright arm and hand holding an apple) has since rotted and been felled.

Sadly they dont live forever though.

No, indeed. There was one here in the Torrs representing fish, which had to be felled a couple of years ago.

It's quite the sight to watch them being carved,  and some of them are really quite fast at it.

Just got home.   We left stop 1 later than planned due to SWMBOd being very slow.  Stop 2 cancelled sadly.

But it seems luck and the weather have conspired against you this trip.
