I was in the middle of cleaning the car and the heavens opened, not forecasted when I checked first thing this morning.

Yes and I squeezed a small survival kit into that bag too just in case.  A couple of the wainwrights we did we didnt see another person up there,  so its best to be prepared,  and worse case I have satellite service on the phone if I needed to call for help.

The survival kit is a bit of a work in progress,   after Dartmoor I decided it was probably a good idea.    It's also nice that I can now update my location without cell service via satellite.

I guess that is another benefit of owning an iPhone.

Yes,   you guys can text via satellite too but theyve not rolled that out here yet.     The ones of the issues I have with them,  they launch all these great features and then are really slow to roll them out.   Weve still not got apples version of street view here outside of London even though they drove around wit their cars years ago.   6 probably.

That's surprising to hear.  You'd figure a company the size of Apple would have new things rolled out quicker.  

Let's face it DAF, if the sea was that colour you wouldn't know where you were and no Apple maps to help either.

That was half way up High Rigg whilst being battered by storm Ashley, at the summit we struggled to stand up still to get the selfie.
