Definitely, and when you mix golden hour in with the Fall colors that is a real win-win.

I would like to say tht I am looking forward to some winter scenes, but lately there hasn't been anything great. Maybe I need to travel to a nice Christmas Village this winter.

We don't really get heavy snowfall around here.

Same here. I guess the patterns have changed with Global Warming.

I never really do that. It seems that increasing the Dynamic range in Lightroom is easier than merging the photos.

Then you're not using the right tool for the job.
The AEB-5 gives a lot more headroom to play with and this shot would have revealed more of the sky for sure in AEB-5.
It can't cope with everything of course, but I never shoot without it.
Even if you don't use the AEB, it's nice to have the option to choose later.

If you happen to have Affinity Photo, that has a great AEB merge tool.
If you have a set of 5 captures from a high contrast situation, I can blend them for you.

Lightroom does it but I have close to 1mm pictures so 5 of each photo gets a litlle wieldy. I will give t it a shot

If I take these AEB batches, I process them and then get rid of the original files.

Yes I used to do it with lightroom but some of their processing gave me the same results as taking the 5 pics and merging them so I stopped. It's time to revisit it.

It will depend on the situation of course. If there is little contrast, it's not needed.
But I have to give credit to Affinity Photo for their merge tool as I usually like the output.
