Great shot DA.    A little low lying fog just adds ambience to the shot. Nice reflection.  

Too calm to go for a sail.

Jut a tiny bit of mist in that shot,  the cloud though was dulling the sun a lot.

Sounds like you are having to keep the brolly handy then.  Weather guesses predicted 20% chance of rain yesterday and it rained for over 4 hours.  They are predicting 80% for today.  I wonder how much rain we'll get today.  It's super cloudy out now but hasn't started to rain but from what I'm seeing it's on the way.

There was some reporting that an arctic blast was on the way and we'd get snow,  but sadly the national weather group has come out and said that forecast was complete rubbish,  which is a shame as Im not finding the greyness very motivating.

Already snowing in Colorado and norther parts of New Mexico.  Bit early in the season but the weather guessers are predicting a snowy, cold winter for the northern half of the US.

I was hoping for some snow when we were in the Lake District but we were just a bit early.

Shame it didn't snow while you were there.  You still got a long winter ahead so maybe it will bring you a decent snowfall or two this year.  I like looking at snow just have no desire to shovel it anymore.  At least here I don't have to worry about shoveling snow.

I dont tend to shovel it here,   typically as we dont get enough to worry about that.

thanks Mr B.     One of my last grey inspirations,   that boat has now gone off sailing,  but it will be back as its left a dinghy on its mooring.

The snow plows ran for 24 hours straight following that snow fall and they had to bring in front end loaders to haul off the piles of snow that had been built up by the plows.  Surprisingly, they then dumped the snow into the almost frozen lake.  I'd never seen that before.

I. can imagine,   when it happened here they didnt have snow plows.

It snows enough regularly in the Chicago area so they tend to always have plenty of plows and their sand/salt mixture to put down.  they say it snowed in the most norther part of Florida at the Georgia line and because they have no snow removal equipment it shut down all the major roads and bridges for the day.  I was stationed at the American Embassy in Madrid at the time so I didn't see it snow.  Nobody here in southern Florida has seen snow since January 19, 1977 when a few flakes fell but melted immediately when it hit the ground.  In the past 200 years that was the only isolated event where snow fell in southern Florida.

Theres actually a website we can go to to track the gritters/plows whereabouts.

So I'm assuming they are all equipped with GPS then.  Might make it much easier for dispatch to track them on a digital map and redirect them as needed.
