i have the action 5 and i use the gps module to be able to get map data and speed data to overlay on the videos from dirtbike races.right now the way i have to do it is go to the mimo app, download the video to my phone, add overlays of the speed and gps then export. once thats done i have to hook my phone up to my pc to transfer the videos to be able to edit them on my pc.Its a hassle to have to do all that when all i want is the overlays added.Otherwise id just take the sd card to my pc and be done but theres so many extra steps just because the overlays.
ive also noticed doing all this makes the quality go down vs straight from the sd card. any help/advice would be appreciated

One way is to record GPS data with your phone, download an app that can do that. But it need to be synced after.

This really sucks!

You buy the Osmo Action GPS Bluetooth Remote Controller to make it possible to have the map, speed and other things in the video.
Then, it isn't possible to choose and select the data you want in the video from my Mac.
You have to do it with a work around, transfer the video to the phone, just it in the Mimo App, render it over there, save it to the phone, and after that transfer it to the Mac. If that works.....

This really sucks! DJI sells the GPS Bluetooth Remote Controller, but without the software to make this possible on the Mac or Windows PC.

The only workaround I found to buy new software like https://goprotelemetryextractor.com but that will cost me another €175,- so that's not an option!

I didn’t even know about that software.I’ve expressed this to the chat agents and questionnaires a few times.hopefully there’s a fix in the future! How are you pulling from your phone? My iPhone seems to time out sometimes and messed the videos up

Yes, that's the problem! Transferring from phone to computer really sucks! Takes a lot of extra time, and often the transfer is not working.
