I have a mini 4 pro with the so-called intelligent batteries, I have read so much about it that I don't know what is best to do in the winter when I don't use the drone for a few months.
According to what I read in the manual, I can just leave the intelligent batteries and they will automatically go into a kind of sleep mode or do I have to charge and discharge them every now and then?
And what about the battery of the DJI RC-N2 controller, what should I do with it.
I would like a proper explanation and if there are people who know to which dji email address I can send an email to get an explanation, I would like to know because their online support does not make me any smarter

You need to charge the battery once every three months, there is no point in asking the technical support about this, it is stated in the instructions. RC-N 2 has a different type of battery and long-term storage is not critical there.

Hi there thank you for reaching out. As per advise by Serg SSA in #2, you are required to charge the battery once every three months.  To charge DJI RC-N2, use a USB-C cable to connect a USB charger to the USB-C port of the remote controller.

You can always refer to the user manual HERE ( page 2 ) .

Thank you for your understanding.

Typically LiPo batteries can be stored for a long time, without the need of charging/discharging them. Before storing them, they should be charged at about 3.80-3.85 volts per cell and they should keep that charge for many months. Now it seems that the batteries from DJI must be managed in a different way, and this is not good, because every charge/discharge cycle reduces the lifespan of a battery.
I noticed that the batteries left into the charging station are discharging. And this is not a good thing too...

The charge station is supposed to discharge the batteries to 50% or so after 9 days of inactivity. This state is supposed to be the storage state.

No, this is not true. The batteries are supposed to discharge by themselves until 50%, the station is not part of that. But when in the station, they're discharging much below that level.
