Currently with my RN-c3, I plug my phone on site ( near a small airport). No internet. I get an authorization Zone requirement.
On the phone, I can request authorization, fill a few check marks, I get a code by text which I enter on the screen............and I can fly after another check mark saying I am qualified.
Super useful when you drive to an open field to fly and find out unexpectedly that you need authorization. You can get it on the spot

I just bought a new drone with RC-2. Is the only option to get pre authorization at home? I take the drone with me most of the time and may decide
to fly in some park I like, but when I try to fly it tells me that authorization is needed. Does that mean that since I did not get pre approval at home, I am not able to fly?

Is there a way to use cellular signal or WiFi hotpoint to get authorization on the phone on the spot. Either transfer to the drone by Bluetooth or USB-c to lightning on IPhone.?
If it is possible......could someone post the steps to get from phone to RC-2. Can you use cellular signal going to dji/ flysafe and obtaining authorization?

First flights with new Mavic Mini 4 pro and RC-2 this weekend!!

Thanks for any help or suggestions

Swipe down twice from the top of the screen and you get the control panel,  from there long press on the wifi symbol and join your phones hotspot,   then get permission in the usual way.    Ps theres no Mavic in the Mini 4's name.

Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

You can use your phone's personal hotspot to connect to the internet, as suggested in reply #2.

Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.

Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

Thank you for your responses. Much appreciated. I think I made my question a lot more confusing than it had to be. What I meant was:
If I go fly at some wetlands and find out I need authorization. I do not have Wifi or a Hotspot nearby
1) Can I access DJI/Flysafe via my 5G cellular network and get authorization.
2) If I can.........how do I get the authorization from the phone to the RC-2  (USB-c -Lightning cable)

Thank you
