We get those from time to time,    leaves a level deposit on the cars usually.

Never seen it that bad here,      we did experience it in Lanzarote,  and it was like they dumped a ton of sand on the patio and spread it out when the wind blew.

I'm guessing it is best to use car covers in Lanzarote then.

I think the general rule is just to leave and the wind blows it off the next day.

Great for windsurfers and kite flyers but rough on drone flying.

I took the M2P there and a few times I needed sports mode to fight back,  but for the most part I made the point of always flying out into wind and it did very well.    I think they have sadly got stricter with their drone rules recently though.

I hear you on getting stricter.  Things are starting to get tighter here for recreational drone flyers.  The drone delivery companies poured a lot of money into the campaign coffers prior to election and no doubt will be pushing to get freer airspace for their delivery drones.  If this happens it will push recreational flyers into FRIAS.  With a 2nd evolution of a DJI ban now pending for January things could get even worse.  

I think it is time I start shopping again for an underwater drone.

FRIAS are the same as our model aircraft clubs I think?   If thats the case either many will just not bother with that or quit.

The same.  The large drone delivery companies are hoping to push recreational flyers into quitting and with them filling the election campaign coffers they already have the elected officials ears.  Which is another reason a lot of the elected officials are pushing to ban DJI.
