Staten Island has one commuter line that runs the length of the Eastern portion Island to the Ferry to NYC. Then we have a couple of freight lines on the west Shore. This is the commuter line. It's small and quaint.

A lot of our disused lines have been converted into Bridleways - leisure trails for pedestrians, cyclists and horseriders.

A lot of our disused lines have been converted into Bridleways - leisure trails for pedestrians, cyclists and horseriders.

All of the horse trails are now built up with real estate or it was unbuildable.  We need more transportation here. It's the forgotten borough of NYC.

It started with web design, then photography, Then I added drones. We have 8 different drones for all kinds of jobs, mapping thermal, video etc. Whatever you have people want more.

I saw on the news this morning where more spottings of car size drones occurred over your borough last evening again.  Many were captured on Ring videos.

News just said two Republican Jersey Shore-area congressmen, U.S. Reps. Chris Smith and Jeff Van Drew, have called on the military to shoot down the drones. However, Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh told reporters Wednesday that “our initial assessment here is that these are not drones or activities coming from a foreign entity or adversary.”

Can't shoot down our own drones, now can we.

If I had to bet I'd say they are military drones still in a testing phase, especially since they have been allowed to fly over several military bases without repercussions.

You got that right. I was 20 ft from an army corp of engineers that was clear to fly over and they were out in 15 seconds. They told me what kind of drone I was flying and asked me not to come any closer, because they didn't take kindly to Chinese drones in their airspace.  I appreciated their politeness and took their advice.  Last month the Dept. of Homeland security paid me a visit because I was legally flying with FAA Authorization in Class B Airspace. They checked all of my paperwork and let me go. When they want to be on it they are. With tenacity.

That's spot on.  Why they allowed this mass hysteria to get started I'll never know.  No doubt direction from somebody fairly high up the food chain and I do mean outside of the Department of  Defense.
