Hi all,
I trained myself to fly on mode 3 with my personal drone a few years ago (as I had been playing CoD a lot, and it seemed more natural). Now I am moving into a training position and have been told that the industry standard is mode 2 so I should re-learn to fly on that mode, as it is what most tutorials online will work on. I am fine to do that, but I am looking for how I can practice flying without risking the works drones.
I have access to the Mavic 3 Enterprise with the RC Pro controller. I have a decent laptop and PC with all the required graphics cards and so on. I am not looking for FPV training or anything like that, I would just like a simulator that I can use to clock up some flying time over winter using mode 2.
I downloaded the windows .exe file for virtual flight but can't seem to get anything to fly. I have my RC Pro connected through USB-C but it appears that it only works with the FPV RC 2, which I don't have. I can see that in the controller instructions, there is the option for many controller types (including RC Pro) but I don't know how to connect it - what am I missing?
I also managed to download the DJI store directly on my RC Pro controller and have successfully launched the Virtual Flight on the controller, but it appears I have to use the on-screen joysticks rather than the actual controller joysticks, which is of course the point of all of this.
Any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Nye
