Just recently discovered that both my Mavic 3 Classic and my Mavic 3 Cine do NOT broadcast any RID. And yes: i've entered my OperatorID absolutely correctly. On both drones i get the message "ID entered". Just this week i've flown on an industrial site where the owner has installed drone detection software. Neither of my 2 drones gets detected. When a colleague flies his M3 Classic, it's detected immediately. DJI says you can see that the RID is working when after starting the motors you see a WiFi-source appear (eg on your smartphone) with the name RID*********, where the *** is your operator number. Neither the M3Cine nor the Classic show up this way. The only thing i see is the WiFi-name i've given them in the Fly App, NOT the RID.
Curious enough: my colleague's M3Classic that doés get detected is connected to the "standard" remote, whereas both my drones are connected to the RC Pro. Another colleague who also controls his M3 through the RC Pro has the exact same problem.
Anyone an idea on what's going on? DJI?

Usually seeing the wifi details broadcasted is a clue its working,  but you can download and test with a couple of free apps - OpenDroneID or Opensky

No that's exactly what my point is: the WiFi should read something like RID*******, and mine just shows whatever i wish to write in the DJI Fly App under WiFi name, not what it's supposed to be, being my operator registration number that i entered in the "UAS remote identification" field.
And moreover the drones don't get detected by detection software. They just remain invisible. So clearly the RID is NOT working!

It sounds like this drone detection software you speak of is garbage. There's many ways to detect a drones presence other than RID. If this software relies on RID for detection, this means you'll only ever detect drones flying LEGALLY. The drones that you should worry about are the ones that are flying "under the radar" with no RID. DJI AeroScope for example is a system that can detect drones with or without RID broadcasting. These systems aren't sold to the public, however.

That's irrelevant. I just need RID to work on my drones or i myself could be considered an illegal operator!

In case you use an Android phone, try Drone Scanner app: https://play.google.com/store/ap ... .dronescanner&hl=nl

It works on my drones. Maybe taking a while to show the Rid info, because of the update interval. The Rid info updates every 'X' seconds. Also, I think you need to wait until the drone has a GPS lock (homepoint updated).

I tried all of those dronescanner apps, both on iOS & Android. But as i said: none of them detect my drones because they just don't transmit RID. I KNOW how to check for RID transmission, and both my M3 Cine and M3 Classic are NOT transmitting any.

You aren't responsible for RID working or not, the manufacturer is. This is why a self-check is required within the drone's firmware before the motors can spin up. As long as your firmware is up to date and the drone is registered you've done all you're responsible for. There's no consistent method to verify RID so no way to enforce or require pilots to check that it's working.

OK, that at least is some sort of relief... But i'd still like to know why it's not working and what can be done to fix it.

Consider yourself lucky. Many of us would love to have this problem you're seeing.

Maybe this is interesting for you: https://mavicpilots.com/threads/ ... s-bluetooth.143189/

I still wont believe you got 2 drones with Rid problems. I think you or your scanner apps are the culprit.
