No, it was actually a reasonable day at Christmas
There's a lot of blurring in this image, taken a couple of hours ago.
Kept getting "Gimbal Overload" messages. Not sure if it was the cold conditions, or a developing fault

He and I have been corresponding for several years - though we've never met.
We always try to figure out where each of us is, from our images. A bit of a running game.
He lives down London way, whereas I'm near Manchester - so about 250 miles apart.

Yes, it's continuing to melt, though.
Variable conditions today, got a couple of flights in between snow showers.
Gimbal keeps playing up. Maybe due to the cold.

I'm not sure.  It's an intermittent problem. The Mini is possibly starting to show its age.

Yes. And on startup the gimbal does the full dance. But not every time.
And during flight, the problem starts and stops, randomly.

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Depends which way the gimbal is pointing at switch-on.
Occasionally it vibrates, and I have to tap it to make it stop.  But it's always been like that from new.

I reckon the real quote would do the trick  

The fault is still there, but I can overcome it in-flight with a bit of jiggling of the controls.

I wonder if you set C1 to move the gimbal -90/0 degrees would be enough to to wake it up a bit,  and just a double press would do it.

I thought for sure that was the old guard Mini.  Now I realize you are saying the Mini 3 Pro is getting long in the tooth.  I guess considering the Mini 5 Pro is rumored to release in May/June timeframe that does make the Mini 3 Pro an aged drone.

OK,  that's worse than I expected from your description.  Im sure you have,  but have you checked for debris in there and that when off it moves freely?
