Doesn't it excite you that DJI forgot to fix all their mistakes in the Neo?

This has been their strategy for years.
Release a product, fix (most) major bugs, add some improvements and move on to the next release.
It's what sells apparently, so why stop doing that.

I'm a bit confused, is it FPV, or (more) hybrid?

At the moment its really hard to tell from the leaks what the purpose is,     some say its the Mini 4 replacements,  others suggest its just another ultra portable entry level drone.  

Better if it works with the superior Googles 3.

As it's a whoop Im really not interested in it,     these are always worse in the wind than a regular drone and I have enough wind issues without it.

Seems to be more of an image capture platform.  Compact, folding, sub-250gm.  Wonder if the L in FLIP stands for LIDAR?  Nice feature for those capturing images in tight and poor illuminated environments. Not the next gen DJI FPV.  Probably a larger market for DJI fanboys for a video biased drone.  

Probably in a minority of those who fly DJI quads.  Immersive FPV and only care for a high quality image on the goggle screen to avoid things one should not hit.

If it has the autonomous modes of the Neo, flies quieter and the image is better, I will entertain the thought of a purchase. The autonoumous modes are what sold me on the Neo for filiming B-roll in YouTube videos, although I have yet to use it in a video, but perhaps soon...lol.

Just the one on this one lol. I went over the top indeed on the Neo but it was the only way I could get the goggles N3 quickly which I certainly don’t regret. If the flip douse not work with goggles N3 and motion 3 I might not buy it at all

I have tried a pair and they were terrible.    Without the diopter adjustment just a blurry mess around the edges and lots of distortion.     And not to mention the latency is 1/3 worse too.

I'm very curious why they went for this design. What is the advantage over a fixed FPV (ish) drone.

I think there will be failures in the hinges of the folding parts but I guess only time will tell.  No doubt the battery will be of a smaller size and will hamper length of flight.  I have no plans to buy the Flip.  My next drone, if DJI is still allowed to sell in the US, will be the Mini 5 Pro.

Mini 3 Pro is a great drone and does all I need which is why I skipped the Mini 4 Pro.  But with hints of O4 and LIDAR on the Mini 5 Pro I'm sure I'll give that drone favorable consideration.

Well mine are far better. I never use my goggles 3 Now just the N3. Mine are very sharp and I love the much larger slightly curved screen. As for Latency I dont notice any at all. If there was any I would have hit way more stuff

It is to do with Laws in the US and other Countries and flying over people with Prop guards.

The combination of under 250g and Prop Guards and flying over people  is the key.

I love mine I dont need all of that all I know is the addition of the Goggles N3 have made me fly my drones loads more and that is what is important to me
