Hi everyone,
I recently encountered a serious issue with my DJI drone and would greatly appreciate any insights or advice from the community. Here’s what happened:
- During the flight, the drone displayed an error message:
"Aircraft not in flight. Vision systems and obstacle avoidance disabled (Code: 180059)."
This appeared even though the drone had successfully transitioned into Assisted Takeoff and P-GPS modes.
- Everything seemed fine initially, but without any warning, the drone suddenly fell out of the sky and into a bush. Fortunately, no one was hurt, and a fireman had to help me retrieve it.
- I also noticed some unusual behavior with the battery during the flight. There were voltage deviations between the cells, even though the battery percentage seemed stable overall.
To help diagnose the issue, I’ve uploaded the flight data, which you can view here:

The timing of this issue is especially concerning because I’m traveling again next week, and I’m unsure if I should trust the drone for my upcoming trip. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Could it be a hardware malfunction, or is it potentially a firmware/software problem?
Any advice or guidance would mean a lot, as I’m hesitant to risk another flight without understanding the cause of this incident.
Thank you in advance!
