I am trying to update my DJI Mini 3's firmware to V01.00.0500 but it fails and I am can't fly my drone. I have tried it with the RC + DJI Fly as well as with DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drone Series) on MAC. I have tried clearing the cache, clearing all the data and resetting the settings. Nothing works.
It progresses to 85% on DJI Assistant 2, then gets stuck for a while after which an error pops up saying the update failed because the connection was unstable.
The same happens with the RC and DJI Fly App. It progresses to 95% on this and fails with a error saying connection was unstable.

Can someone please help me resolve this.

This is on the DJI Fly App

Hi colorblind,

Thank you for sharing the screenshot with us. To update your drone's firmware using the DJI Fly app, please follow these steps:

1. Power on the drone and remote controller. Once the drone is connected to the app, tap "Update" when prompted that new firmware is available.
2. Ensure your mobile device remains connected to the network during the download. The app will automatically download the firmware.
3. After the download is complete, tap "Update" to begin the firmware installation. Once the progress bar is complete, the firmware update will be successful, and the drone will restart automatically.
4. Do not power off your drone or exit the app during the update process.

Please note:
Before updating, ensure that the battery level of the device (remote controller or aircraft) is above 50%.
While updating, do not power off the aircraft or disconnect the USB cable. Otherwise, the update may fail.
While updating, the device may automatically reboot several times. When rebooting, it is normal for the remote controller to disconnect from the aircraft automatically. Do nothing before the update is completed to avoid affecting the normal updating process.

For more detailed information on firmware upgrades, please refer to the guide available at the following link:https://support.dji.com/help/con ... p;re=US&lang=en

We hope this helps, thank you.

I have tried these steps multiple times but it still gets stuck at at the end and then the error pops up. I have tried different internet connections, different cables, different devices everything.

Hello colorblind,

We are sorry to hear that you're still experiencing issues with updating the firmware after trying these troubleshooting steps. We recommend submitting a repair request through the DJI official website and sending the DJI Mini 3 to the DJI service centre for further inspection.

You can apply for a self-service repair at the following link: https://repair.dji.com/us/repair/index

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
