I’ve been enjoying my flights with the DJI Flip so far. It has been very easy to use and the camera is so much better than the Neo’s.

In relation to the front obstacle avoidance (ToF) sensor, I would like to suggest that you consider incorporating an algorithm that, when the Flip encounters an obstacle, would instruct the Flip to hover at the stop point and (1) try to fly left by 50cm from the stop point (and forward). If the obstacle is still encountered, then (2) fly back to original stop hover point and to fly right by 50 cm. If obstacle is still encountered, the to fly back to stop point and then (3) fly up or (4) down 50cm respectively.

I suggested 50cm because the Flip is about 30cm in width when unfolded.

I believe incorporating the above would be a better utilisation of the front obstacle avoidance (ToF) sensor.

The DJI Flip does not have lateral vision sensors, this logic is not quite appropriate.
