Hi there! Thank you for reaching out. Regarding on your inquiry, before the first flight of Neo in manual mode, perform the following operations:

1. Power on DJI Neo, DJI Goggles 3, and DJI FPV Remote Controller 3, and complete linking.
2. In the goggles view, go to Settings > Control > Remote Controller and set Custom Mode to Manual Mode.
3. Open the protection cover behind the throttle stick and adjust the screw until the throttle stick does not re-center automatically for more accurate control and a better flight experience.
4. Go outside and connect the goggles to your phone. Open the DJI Fly app while making DJI Neo complete GPS satellite searching.
5. Switch to the Manual mode for your flight.

I am still a newbie, hence have no drone whatssoever but i almost bought the Neo Fly More combo. But then i noticed that there are rumours about a Neo 2 .... so i will probably wait some time.

However is it normal that i can't post a new thread in for example the Neo product section? I put my cursor on "new thread - products" but nothing happens.

As with all consumer electricals, there is always a new model coming. Just buy when the time is right for you.

Provides all the info needed to set up the FPV RC3 for manual mode.

If never have flown or competent at least non-stabilized angle mode.  Sim time for most is a requirement.
Recommend simulator time even if you think you can fly angle mode. Rate mode is a different beast.

Neo is a nice "trainer".  You can set the gains/rates to mellow to begin. Even keep the ATTI engaged to prevent unplanned loops and rolls.  If all goes bad and altitude and time allows you can bail out of M mode to N with a tap of the brake/pause switch or hit the mode rocker switch to N or S modes.  Saves the Neo from crashing more than otherwise.  Neo is also a tough little quad.
