So today I got the Phantom 3 Advanced and now I need to update both the aircraft and the RC. The problem is that aircraft firmware is 1.1.9+ and the RC firmware is 1.1.8.

When I connect to the bird it says firmware update can not be done from the app so I assume it has to be done with a USB. The problem is I have no idea where and which firmwares to download and have no idea what to do after that.

Any help will be appriciated! I'll keep googling in the meanwhile!

Please take this thread as a reference . Please update your RC firmware to 1.3.2 first with a SD card and then update it to the latest through the DJI GO App . After that , upgrade your aircraft to the latest with SD card .

My App is 2.5.1
My RC is 1.5.70
My Aircraft is 1.4.10+

My question is should I upgrade anything?
  My drone flies great so what advantages would I get by upgrading??

DJI app go is an awesome application I really enjoyed this app Thanks for your information I have also one information share here I have a website where you put Gmail account related query you can directly communicate with Gmail customer support their executive really helpful and they available 24*7.

If it works and you're happy with it I would leave well alone.

My P3A is at:  DJI GO Ver 3.1.3
                         AIRCRAFT Ver 1.5.30+
                         RC Ver 1.6
It flies perfectly and my aircraft won't be seeing an upgrade unless either FORCED by DJI or If it provides me with fantastic new features !  As the product is at "End of Life" I doubt that it will receive much attention from DJI in future.
