I;am using the dji app on my samsung s4 active and have noticed when the preview resolution is set high the video skips. Is there anything I could change in the phone settings to fix it or will I just have to keep the resolution low? Thanks.
lower resolution is likely your best option. The resolution available is a combination of the WIFI connection health and the ability of the device to decode the packets quickly enough to show the feed. You could keep the higher resolution and lower frame rate; maybe that will work for your device.
Another suggestion: close other apps when you fly. Background widgets and live wallpaper can take a lot of CPU and closing those may help as well.
