Is the only way to find out if you have the latest firmware via the Assistant/s?

eg Controller (Tx), Phantom & Gimble and 2.4 Datalink etc.

Wouldn't it be nice to find out without having to connect your hardware to the Assistant/s?

There is something on DJI website but it is not complete (maybe scattered over several pages?)

In the download section of support for each product there are release notes.  Example for the P2V+

Or at your product's "Downloads" page, down at the bottom in the "Latest Version Information" section, as for here on the Vision + page:  http://www.dji.com/product/phantom-2-vision-plus/download

This of course, dependent on the key word "Latest" and whoever is responsible for updating the page.
