do you know what (14) potentiometer on the remote does?

It would help if you could identify which manual you are referring to, and which page.  There are different manuals for the various Phantom models.

GASP!  Who told you about (14) potentiometer!  Nobody is supposed to know about THAT except highly trained medical professionals and that is only under the strictest of supervision!  You have no idea of what dark powers might be released should you dare to even whisper "(14) potentiometer"!  Tell NO ONE of what you've seen and heard here -- I risk the punishment of eternal gimbal quiver for even acknowledging it's existence.  GO!  And speak of this NO MORE!

Michael, for future reference, it would REALLY be helpful for you to provide a bit more detail when you ask a question like that.  There are four different versions of the Phantom 2 with at least two different versions of the User Manuals and Quick Start Guides for each one.  However, I am just a fountain of useless and obscure information and just happened to have a pretty good idea of what you might be referring to, so...
