Hello. Latest automatic update on a Samsung 7-inch tablet has made the app useless. It does not even start. Any ideas? Any plans from the DJI team?

Android version is 4.4.2

DJI is aware of it and it's not a DJI issue but a Samsung one.
The incompatibility issue is caused by the Samsung S7 mobile system. DJI has urged Samsung to solve this problem a.s.a.p..

Yes, someone said there was a S7 update this morning. I do not have one so I cannot confirm.

Ok, no problem sorry about that.
Hopefully Samsung will remedy it soon.

Well on a flight yesterday with Air Asia it was announced, repeatedly, that if you had a Samsung Note 7 that you were not allowed to use it, or charge it, for the duration of the flight.

Which isn't entirely relevant, but interesting, perhaps?

Come on guys. Half the world's population owns a Samsung.. I am amazed because with the previous version everything was perfect. Shouldn't there be some care about all of us? Maybe a quick fix or a downgrade?

Well for what it's worth I absolutely despise my Samsung S6.

Hate the thing, with a passion.

I actually hate it so much I almost enjoy hating it...

To the loong list of things I hate, I can now add "..and it overheats and the screen goes nearly black when using it with my Phantom on a sunny day, forcing a rapid "Oh pants, which way is it facing? descent"

POS phone it really is. You know what the S stands for? Sh*t. It's the Sh*t 6.

Despite all that I may go for the S7 later, as at least it is as waterproof as the S5 and does, I think, have an actual SD slot, like every other phone ever, and hopefully without the overheating, and the pants battery life and ... don't get me started.

So no, I'm not in the slightest surprised that the Note7 turns out to be more of an incendiary device than a phone...
