As part of replacing propellers if they are in bad condition, every time it is advisable to replace them by possible wear?

1. Every once in a while? 1 year?
2. Every certain hours of flight? how many hours?

Thank you,

Wear and tear on the props can vary greatly.  If you see any damage (nicks, cracks, or deformation), I'd replace the propellers but not just at fixed period of time or number of flights.

It´s more important to clean them esp. when flying in spring, summer and autumn: smashed insects on the leading edges of the rotors influence aerodynamics dramatically (as well as icing) and might lead to a battery-overload warning. Flying at low heights in deserts might ruin the leading edges of rotors as well by sandblasting. Inspect them once in a while and when You see defects replace them and when You see dirt : CLEAN THEM !

Hello, we recommend that they are changed after around 200 flights. And if the propellers were scratched or damaged, please replace it.

If this is "recommended by DJI" then where is this written?  Are there other milestones that you could share with us?  Legs break on fold #5001?

200 flights? That seams rather short. I think I have put like 50 flight already since I got my Mavic and cant Imagine why would I need to change it in 2 or 3 months if they are not damaged

Its written right above your post, Its recommended not mandatory. To be safe Ill be changing my props around 200 flights unless defects are found earlier. As they are only $9 per pair. Better safe than sorry.

that seems reasonable, the propellers are only $9 USD for a set of two People spend more than of junk food in one day.

I'd rather overpay on props than overpay on replacement Mavics.  I can afford the former, but not the latter

I've had two minor impacts so far with my Mavic and one could have easily become major due to a blade fracture completely destabilizing the craft.  Once you lose half a blade or so you pretty much become a passenger, so I've decided to replace mine occasionally just to be on the safe side, even if all I see is a scratch or discoloration.

I've never replaced any propellers on any of my drones over the past 4-5 years.  As far as I can see they will basically last forever unless you hit something.  I finally stopped buying spares with the P4P.

Anyone knows if Mavic props can be checked for proper calibration?

My P4P prop failed as I was climbing at around 100 to 150 feet. I just did a inspection before take off, this was about the 30 to 40 flight of my P4P. It fell to the ground and disstrode it's self. The battery blew up, the broken prop still on the motor. Half there. The other 3 still there, one cracked, 2 arm bent, cracked, pc boards can be seen cracked. The P4P is now trash.

Good feedback from all. Thank you Angelo26 and WolfgangStiller. I had a slight finger tip trim and manicure from a bad drone catch.. prop is fine and finger bandaged.

Sorry to hear that. Please take care of your finger first. We would not recommend users catch the drone with their bare hands. Hope your finger will recover soon.

I have 133 flights 15 hours on my mavic pro platinum and I was flying in sport mode on the beach and it flipped in mid air but I was only 6 ft off of the ground so I wondered if it was from being too low. A few days later I was flying 200 feet up and It just flipped again luckily the gimbal was the only thing broken. I have noticed that the propellers where feeling a little flimsy before that so I just replaced them, I have not flew my drone since that but when I get the gimbal fixed I will update.  (I was flying in sports move on both of the crashes and I has the right stick all of the way forward)

What do you mean by flipped ?
Upload the flight logs for both flights to
https://www.phantomhelp.com/LogViewer/Upload/
there are instructions on that page,
and post the resulting URL here
Or upload the log to airdata, make its page pubilc and posy its URL here
Or zip the .txt flight logs and add them to a post here as an attachment.
You might also upload the relevant DATs from the screen device to a file hosting website, make the page public and post the URL here....... you may not have DATs on the screen devce if you have synced logs with DJI since those flight.

Just curious, given you are in the USA can you still sync Go4 app logs ?
If you want to post the DAT DO NOT try a sync until you hav copied the DATs from the screen device to your computer

By flipped I mean that it turned upside down and just starting flipping in the air. The flight records on both are me going about 20 mph and then it quickly slows down and you can see on the map it is spinning rapidly and the vertical speed went down very fast (max 40.2 mph) and the motor abstracted warning came through you could also see that the gimbal as moving up and down very fast.

Meaning no offense but I meant what I said, upload the logs as suggested ......... so that people here can see the raw data,
The pilot's recollection of events is quite often flawed.

Besides. the logs probably contain information that you have not even thought about, esepcially if the screen device DAT exists and is made available.

Without the logs we are left with guess work.

If you don't want to upload the logs then just say so, it will save people asking you for them etc..

A fall speed of 40mph, 17.8m/s, would be rather fast, almost as if the drone were in a powered dive.
I would expect freefall speed to be in the region of 14 to 16 m/s, 31.3 to 35.8mph
