You should look into getting a pure sine wave inverter if you're charging in the field and want to help maintain the longevity of your batteries. All of those cheaper inverters produce a modified wave or square wave which give out a lower voltage of 110v vs your home outlet at 120v. They produce a dirtier, more inconsistent current and when charging delicate electronics, such as lipo batteries with sensors in them, its definitely recommended to use pure sine wave. They will run you around 5 times the cost of the cheap-o ones but they'll last longer and so will your electronics. I own a Samlex, they make quality pure sine inverters but there are other good options too.. good investment if you ask me |
