I have been emailing back and forth with DJI over this.
The flight in question happened like so:
I was simply testing propeller guards and having a short flight to see everything was working as it should, on my new spark in a completely open field / safe environment.
At no point did I fly the spark further than 10 meters from myself, and never over a height of 4 meters, as it was just a quick test flight in close proximity to myself.
I didn’t fly the spark at any speed at all (perhaps 1.5 m a second at max)
Simply buzzing around safely in front of me.
For some reason it could not locate GPS in this area, which is very odd.
at 31 seconds (out of 51 seconds recorded data) the drone reverted to ATTI mode.
As per the user manuals instructions I began to ‘safely land the drone’
At around 51 seconds the drone began to skit out and begin its descent into madness. Here your flight data suggests it crashed in front of me at a very slow speed at 51 seconds – If this was the case I would be fixing the drone’s minimal damage.
The unresponsive drone then flew away into the distance.
I have never been so shocked in my life.
It is not my fault that your data analysis did not record the fly away. I go round and round with DJI, you suggest it was improper flight environment, I still don’t see how this is the case, as you can see I began to safely land the drone in front of me in ATTI mode.
I have been very persistent over this case, because as I watched my unresponsive drone fly away into the distance, I thought to myself ‘this is not my fault’.
