On one of my trips with my MP, today I came by some windmills, which I have been thinking about filming for a while. As far as I've been able to google, these mills were originally produced by the Danish company, BONUS Energy, which later in 2004, was bought by SIEMENS Windpower. The type of the mills are 1 MW/1000kW and they have got a hub-height of 50 meters.
As I got closer to the mills, I could see that they all looked pretty worn out. Particularly one of them looked like something that needed a wide and thorough service. But judge yourself.
In the video there are a couple of really good (I think myself) examples of motion blur.
Fabulous footage, we have a few of these all around us, never considered filming them as they are a blot on the landscape, or so I thought until I seen your footage. They are quite majestic and imposing, or at least I think so up close. Very interesting video buddy and wow one of the turbines looks like it needs technical support.
Well done!! I don't know too much about those kind of windmills but that one the lubricant leak probably needs some service. Or maybe it did but the blade was stained. yo no se, but I did enjoy your video!!

Thanks mate.
They are certainly not pretty standing there, and yet quite impressive to look at. But they are good for our environment when we need to think green.

Nah, just keep pouring oil into reservoir tank.
Besides, gallons of oil are cheaper than the repair costs.

Awesome Work FlyDk. Been eyeing these for awhile but was to nervous to fly around them. Nicely done.
Thank you very much Woe.
No danger if you stay behind the the rotor (I told myself). These are not enormous but huge, and it may seem that I'm much closer than I am. In reality I guess I'm about 20 meters away when closest.

Thanks for the heads up. Just might have to try it.
There is a couple hundred windmills in the near by mill farm. It's for sale, and a huge failure here in Cali. They are trying to sell it, but almost all the windmills don't spin anymore. Want to fly it some day. It's right next to a solar panel farm that is powering a jail. Want to fly that soon too.
You're welcome Woe, and thank you again for your interest.
Do it... just do it, and please show us the outcome. There are so many of these wind turbines and some of them are twice the high or higher, than the ones I showed in the video.

The one's I've been looking at are bigger (huge) which is why I'm nervous. . If I get my nerves up I will post here

There is large Wind Farm not to far from my place. I was all for Wind Farm. Even thought about applying for job working with company. Got all qualifications needed.
Except for Base Jumping.
As it turns out, the Wind Farm isn't that Green, costs more KW/H, and then there is our Tax dollars funding building costs going out of state.
Time to take a hard look at new Fission Reactors that are smaller, sized for a city or several towns.

This is one of the benefits of wind turbines - fringe benefits if you work on them
Guy is begging for a strong wind gust. Blow him right off of there and a messy death due to sudden deceleration. Unless he dies on way down from heart attack.

Last I heard, he's still up there because the hatch blew shut and locked from the inside

I can’t agree M2 about being a blot on the landscape, as someone who will spend 16/20 hours a week from June-September surveying these beauties . Lol

lol and the pay cheque makes them so much more attractive and by the fact you'll be flying around them is the icing on the cake.
