My first time submitting any video into a contest and am every excited. No expectations but really have a passion for what I have been doing the last three years. With the proper tools with any task, there is nothing that cannot be achieved and DJI have allowed my hidden creative ambition to be revealed each time I take to the sky.
As a safety professional and medic, I travel nationwide and American islands responding to natural and man made disasters. My career keeps me on the road and in hotels almost year round and the 2017 and 2018 was no exception. I spent almost a year in Puerto Rico responding to the horrendous destruction on the island. I traveled with my Inspire II, Mavic Pro, and Phantom 4 pro and I managed to chronicle my tour while in Puerto Rico. I avoided the disasters and focused on the amazing beauty of the island of Enchanted post Hurricane Maria and Irma. I am hopeful to remind the Boricuas of how beautiful their island is and in spite of the disaster thery faced in 2017.
I am entering a video that chronicles my year in Puerto Rico and hope you enjoy it as much as I droning the island.
I cannot say enough about DJI and my drones. I use FInal Cut Pro X for all post editing work.

Hello,
To be perfectly honest with you, I have tried a variety of settings and short of using ND or polarize filters I pretty much go to auto and work with what I have in post production using Final Cut Pro. When the sun id bright, I may go as high as an ND32 but for the most part I stay in the ND8 or ND16 filters respectively.
I do not take as many pictures as I should. I take mostly videos.

Beautiful video and Island. When I went back there this past spring I was saddened to see all the destruction still from the storm.
Hey Kevin, It truly is sad the destruction but such a resilient and proud culture. Hoping it gets back to where it once was.
I am sorry to hear that. There were harrowing city wide power outages from time to time and that was interesting. Talk a about a black out. Then you would hear generators and flickers of light throughout the city of San Juan. There were towns with no power at all and very limited access up in the mountains. I think it hit me the hardest when the shoes of those lost during and after Hurricane Maria were placed on the state capitals front door. It was heart breaking.

It was bad. After it hit there it made a right hand turn and came directly through here. Wasn't as bad as the islands but still left a lot of destruction.

Well captured! I have been here in Puerto Rico for the past 70 days for work myself and you have captured many of the most beautiful sights here!
Hey, I left Last summer. How are things improving in Puerto Rico. I am hoping to go back next year.
Oh and thank you..

Still some blue tarps on roofs and some traffic lights still not working. You can still see a small amount of damage being worked on since the storm.
