This discussion on this adapter is long in the tooth.
TL;DR: If you need professional audio recorded, its best to use external pro gear or at least an external audio recorder as someone mentioned above.
You know god and well DJI are not going to tell you if they are working on a new product, so asking them on a public forum is not going to change that. It’s only going to bring people on here to rant again on how this adapter is soo expensive and dji need to fix this or “I’m never going to buy DJI again” type quips.
The OP is a cool pocket device, but its not a pro piece of gear. DJI have gear (ronin, etc) that cater to the pro market. It’s a tiny device with a tiny CPU. It can only process so much at a time. People want 8K out of this little thing! LOL
Again, if you are serious about making pro grade productions using this tiny consumer device, you need to act like a pro and purchase external gear and take the time to sync in post. There are software out that does this for you quite easily.
You say its “cumbersome” and “time consuming” well yeah if you want a polished product it takes time and more than one person to make the production run smooth. Ive used the OP on some projects but the audio is recorded via a Xoom F8n and a condenser mic. I Also have a Ronin S, a Steadicam ( full system), and a camera cage for handheld use. All of my productions are recorded externally. |
