RAV Power FileHub WD000 vs. WD03 - Copy SD Cards to HD
For the backup of SD cards on the road, I previously used a tablet with 2 separate USB 2.0 ports for connecting card reader and hard drive.
Looking for something smaller and easier I read here in the forum of RAV Power FileHub.
Nowhere on the internet have I found more details about the copying speed. In order to determine the time needed for copying SD card to external hard drive, I intensively tested the two devices - WD03 and WD009 and decided on the WD009 because of the higher Speed.
Test:
From SD card to external 2.5 " hard drive
- WD03 in the 2.4 GHz approx. 600 MB / minute
- WD009 at 5 GHz approx. 1000 MB / min.
The new model WD009 can be switched from 2.4 to 5 GHz. Size u. Weight equals to something a 2.5 inch hard drive.
In the future, I will also copy the contents of the SD card daily in order to limit the loss of data a little, if I lose something again, or is destroyed. The handling is so really great and I can quickly and easily on the iPhone and then sometimes watch one or the other clip. With the WD03, it is unfortunately not possible to play video clips in 4k 30p, the videos jerk.
I can highly recommend the RAV Power WD009 because of my extensive tests for this purpose.
