Based on the current proposals that we are still waiting to be implemented a drone weighing 400' in any direction of the operator. If not a toy the drone will require the operator to register him or herself irrespective of the weight and I believe they will also need to obtain a flyer ID. C0-toy are literally as it says on the tin and designed for children as the main demographic.
I personally would not want a drone that weighs less than 250g due to its inability to remain stable and agile in a moderate to fresh breeze. C1 weighing 250g to
The debate I am talking about is weather MM is considered <250gr for the EASA rules because it refers to maximum takeoff weight and that is higher with any drone than its base weight.
The MM for example can still takeoff with some acc strapped on, so it clearly is higher than 250gr.
But as said, I have not heard the conclusion since they did not implement it yet. |
