I made two mistakes tonight.
I packed my M3 Cine for replacement too soon, and I didn't rush back to the car when I noticed the awesome sky is coming.
The thing is, I got duped so many times by the clouds completely disappearing the very last 10-15 minutes before the sunset, that I proceed with my evening hike, going further and further away from my car, where my old good trusted Marty (Mavic 2 Pro) was patiently waiting.
By the time I realized the sunset is going to be awesome I still had 1.5 miles to go and less than 15 minutes to make it. I actually ran (well, jogged) almost the entire distance, but in my condition, I guess it didn't make too much of a difference.
I took a few snapshots with my iPhone as I rushed towards the car, and I actually make it just in time to catch the last glimpses. the light was fading fast, I quickly hooked up my phone to the RC, hist sports mode, went up about 350, switch to normal, and had just enough time to take one pano.
Pity. If I only abandoned the last mile and back, which I totally could, this would probably be one of my best local sunsets.
Oh well, no use to cry over split milk or a missed event, there will be another, a better one even. Maybe I'll learn this time...
Anyway. Here are a few pictures from tonight's show. Some are from iPhone 12, some are from M2P. I'm sure you will be able to tell which is which.
Thank you for looking!
