Flown here almost two years ago with a Mavic Air - now it's an fpv and an Mini 2. A renatured quarry near Wolfshagen, Harz, Germany - "Heimberg". Next stop is the Innerste Reservoir - see last video - and the Steinway trail up to the "Mandolin hut". Last stop is the "Maaßener Gaipel", a contraption designed to pump up the water out of nearby mines - or to be flown through with a Cinewhoop.
Great to see these former ugly scars on the landscape refiiled an returned to the wildlife. Nature always wins in the end. And those impossible manouevres through the old machinery! Incredible

Thank you. It does.
And finding gaps is always great.

Ah yes. And with the prop guards, maybe robust enough to withstand a few knocks and bumps
Yes.
I already broke a few guards and they are slightly broken still but that is no problem.
But it’s less the size but the maneuverability of those fpv drones. See here my other fpv quad- it’s not that much of a difference.
And a lot difference makes the camera angle that you can change, but not while flying: with say 15 degrees angle you fly slowly because you don’t have to tilt the quad a lot to get a good picture feed.
If your angle is 35 degrees you have to tilt it far more forward to get the „right“ view and therefore you get more forward momentum and fly faster.

The results they achieve are remarkable, for sure.
Ah, okay.
When I first flew the DJI simulator with the goggles on I got whoozy as well. Much better to fly the real thing but I guess having the pictures move in front of you without moving yourself can mess you up.
I tried flying with the phone connected to the goggles but that's pretty hard - maybe because of latency...

Yeah, its exciting but scary at the same time and me being chicken when it comes to heights does not help much
That's hard for me to say. I normally fly til the battery is at 3.8 v per cell which is the storage voltage. I could go down further but then I'd have to partially charge them after the flight.
3 to 5 minutes is my guess.
Sure thing.
If you don't want to pay you can only download 10 songs per month and get a bit of ad in-between listening. But still it's a very good site.

That's true. But in these small drones you normally don't fly very far. I didn't have one single moment when I wished for longer flight time - it's just that you use a different battery for each flight.
