The Pixel 8 Pro is not in the list of smartphones compatible with the Osmo Mobile 6.
Do you have any information regarding what works or not with this mobile?
I wanted to buy it during Black Friday, but without this information, I'm hesitant.

In France, the closest DJI seller is 800 km from me. It's going to be very complicated ;)

hi there. I bought a Dji om from amazon on June 6, 2023. the serial number of the device I bought: 5W3VM2292626201T1X
I sent the device to the technical service named 'karfu karacasulu fatih/istanbul' in september 2023 because it was not possible to shoot videos due to noises coming from the upper connection point. however, although I sent videos to them, they said there was no problem with the device and sent the device back. On 21.11.23, I returned the device to the service again as the same problem persisted. however, this time I was informed that this problem was a 'consumer fault' due to 'rusting-oksidation' and no intervention was made. of course, I will use my rights through legal means to the end.

Since I opened this thread, I finally bought the Osmo Mobile 6 on Amazon (so I could return it if I wasn't satisfied with it).

The DJI Mimo app works smoothly on my Pixel 8 Pro, but with the following limitations:
  • The Osmo Mobile Pro zoom only performs digital zoom, it does not use the optical zoom of the Pixel 8 Pro. This is, for me, the biggest limitation.
  • Limitation to 4K 30 fps in video
  • Loss of advanced AI settings.

We can of course use the DJI Osmo Mobile 6 without DJI Mimo, that is to say with the Pixel photo application to find all these settings, but then we lose:
  • Active Track.
  • Auto pan mode.
  • Firmware updates.

You must therefore use one mode or the other according to your needs.

DJI would benefit from exploiting, in DJI Mimo, the optical zoom of the Pixel Pro which is a reference in this field.
