Hi, sorry, but do you think we are not able to check if we have the actual version of DJ fly app?? I have everything checked and the app also! I send some screenshots bevor there you can see the Firmware and the Flysafe Data. What else do you need? You guys from DJi have to bring a solution fast! Create new firmware or whatever, to bring our drones again in the sky! Thank you

hi all just to let you know  when i updated mavic 3 classic  aircraft  to firmware Aircraft Firmware: v01.00.0600 i kept getting the fly safe database error so in dgi assistant 2 i had the option do downgrade to Aircraft Firmware: v01.00.0500 and restarted  i have now more fly safe database error

maybe a factory reset (but could be useless, i had done it twice for nothing until they fixed the FlySafe update which fixed the issue)

I am deeply sorry for the belated reply. Would you please also provide the operation video of your update steps for us as well as the exact error message in the aircraft status? Please also help to provide the app log and aircraft data log for us to investigate it further. You may upload the files to Dropbox and provide me with the link. Thank you very much.
I am asking the engineers to check it and will urge them for feedback.

There is a problem with the latest Flysafe update, you have placed a height limitation of 30m in a large part of Andalusia (Spain), that entire area is allowed by Spanish and European legislation to fly up to 120m.
It is causing many problems for all recreational and professional pilots since it does not allow flying higher than 30m for all DJI drones.
Please correct this as it is a mistake on your part.

In my area (north Italy) there are not the restrictions you highlighted for Andalusia. The UAS zones correspond to the official ones. Or better, some officially forbidden areas are not included in the DJI Database.

Still having an issue with the fly safe, I’ve factory reset the RC multiple times. Used a hotspot to update and nothing. Gets to 40% and fails. Seems to lose connection to the aircraft but does not log the code for connection lost. Simply states update failed.

At least for me with the Mini 4 Pro it was resolved within 3 days. Since then another FlySafe DB Update and a firmware update came out. Both installed without any problems. If you run into an issue, I highly recommend to contact dji-support directly as well. It might speed up the process.

But if my journey starts very soon, I rather not update, and switch off WiFi until back home.

Yes I always do, except when people are having their aircrafts grounded by bad updates like this. Have the problem being solved yet?

Finally, it was solved by completely uninstalling and reinstalling the App on my phone - not before using a tablet to access/fly the Mavic Mini, and on said tablet I could update the Flybase with no issues.

So for me, it ended up being an issue with the DJI App on my phone - but the use of another device to update the drone might help someone else facing a similar issue.

I just purchased the mini pro 4 today in Singapore and the same issue is happening.
After downloading all the firm updates, I needed to download the flysafe database and once it passed 20%, the error message poped up.
I tried all the suggestions listed here and nothing worked. I chatted with the live customer support and completely no use (basically asking to do the same). I was more surprised that this issue hasn't been solved since it's been posted for more than a month.

I've purchased various DJI products (Spark, Mavic 2 pro, FPV) and this is the first time I'm concerned. It doesn't even allow me to download the flysafe database and it's making me worry if there's something wrong with the device. I've tried to download for more than 10 times now and since the customer support lady was completely useless, I'm planning to take it back to the shop for a full refund.

Until then, please send any other solution methods (other than what's already been listed) but again, having this fundamental issue from Day 1 is very concerning and I now have doubts about the brand and how they are not treating this issue seriously.

Hello DJI,

I am having a similar issue with my M2EA. I am running the following firmware versions:

DJI Pilot: 2.5.1.17
Aircraft Version: 01.00.0621
Precise Fly Database (Fly): 01.00.01.31
Precise Fly Database (app): 01.00.01.33
Basic Fly Safe Database: 01.00.01.09

When I attempt to update the fly safe database from the app on the Smart Controller, the software downloads to the app, then during the installation on the drone, it loses connection with the drone and fails to install. The connection remains lost until I reboot the drone.

When I attempt to update the database from the DJI Assistant 2 (Enterprise Series), version 2.1.12, with the aircraft connected via USB, the database downloads, it transfers, it uploads, and it installs; however, when I reboot the drone, either the DJI Assistant 2 or the Pilot app on the Smart Controller both show that the fly safe database needs an update again. It is not keeping the updated database.

How to I proceed to fix this?

At the moment they replied to me that:

Will not fly at all. keeps asking me to update fly safe but when it gets to 40% the controller just disconnects from drone ive also connected the controller to my laptop using dji assistant 2 but to no joy ive also deleted dji app from my phone and re downloaded the app but yet again no joy please help

Had the same issue with a mini 4 pro, nothing did the trick until I've turned off the eco mode. I did the update instantly afterwards, from the RC-2 meniu, under 'my profile' tab. Make sure the drone is cool, otherwise you'll get an overheat message and you'll need to wait.
