Hi, ItzFilyO. We suggest trying to download the firmware from the official website first. https://www.dji.com/downloads/products/phantom-4-pro I that does not work, I will send you a message.
1.  Import the file “update.zip” into the microSD card.
Note: If the upgrade fails via an SD card, please copy the update.zip file to the internal memory of the remote controller and try to upgrade again.

I am also having this issue with the  MapBox Bug on the GL300E controller.
I have downloaded and installed the latest firmware from the dji web site.

Still no chicken dinner.
Can you send me the usb flash drive patch file?

Hello DJI Tony,

I also have an Phantom 4 Pro and a GL300E. Unfurtunately my GL300E also shows a black mapbox. I already tried the firmware verison 1.4.3.0 from the DJI website. I could install that firmware, but the mapbox stayed black. Can you send me the link like the others as well?

We apologize for the inconvenience. You may download the firmware of the remote controller to the microSD card, and then update the firmware manually.
1.  Import the file “update.zip” into the microSD card.

2.  Power off the remote controller and insert the microSD card.
3.  Power on the remote controller and tap “Install”.

I went to fly my Phantom Pro Plus (version 1) in a new location (Texas) and I find that there is no map detail (only a very rough outline - no streets) and the satellite image is so grainy that you can't see any buildings, streets, landmarks, etc. It seems to be the grainy map overview of the whole state. Maps still load correctly if I zoom the map to where I flew previously in a different state, but it seems the Phantom Pro Plus will no longer update maps for the location I'm at.
The controller (with screen) says there is no newer update available -- its on V01.04.03.00 Current Version
If I go to download offline maps, it says to select region but offers no choices, only a blue box with no text. If I select to download and give it a name of Texas, it then produces a network error message (remote is connected and has good connectivity - I can browse the net in the browser on the controller).

The above links in the posts above say not found now.

Is there a current solution for getting maps to work again on the Phantom Pro Plus?

I live chatted with DJI support and they were very helpful, asked for screenshots of the issue, and then provided a link to the file. I won't post it here in case they want to do it on a case-by-case basis, but just a FYI that you can probably chat with support and get the file if you need it ASAP. It seems to have resolved the map issue for me.

Thank you! I actually already got this from chat support. I didn't want to bother them, but I'm glad I did actually as I was really impressed by the quality of support for a drone which I purchased several years ago. Very impressive support quality. And thanks for your help on the forum too.
