I've not been past that for a while. Silk town is one of the names for Macclesfield - Hence the Silk Road.
And the silk museum.

The alligators can be dealt with but not so much the tourists. Alligator skin makes great belts, watch straps, wallets, purses and boots.
Ive looked at alligator skin for sale in the past but it always seemed too thin for belts. I guess it depends on the species of gator?

The skins coming out of Florida and Louisiana are definitely thick enough. I'm told the skin of an alligator is much thicker than that found on a crocodile.
