Cause I thought someone might actually have a clue. It’s kinda fun seeing all the made up answers. August 27th is hilarious.
Aside from any solid leaks, the next best thing is historical data to make a more (slightly) accurate prediction. The "minis" were introduced in 2019 and have had eight different versions and 4 gen changes. That's about 1 generational change per year. DJI, like any company wants to make a consumer product for hobbyists that will move off shelves. After the "air" dropped the mavic name, they've had 3 gen releases since 2020, less than mini but still an near annual release. It's a hobbyist drone where whatever tech is around they throw in there and get it out. These two drones are like iPhones. People upgrade all the time, iPhones haven't done much but change colors in quite a few years.
The Mavic is a pro/prosumer. Only 3 generations since 2016. They updated some of these with diff cameras but clearly the focus is on the regular consumer. They cram tech in these for pros then it's future proofed. So there 16, 18, 21, then all the within gen versions (diff cams). Late 2025 maybe. |
