Order Time: 2016-09-27 16:54:59 (UTC) Still no update on shipping. I'm probably one of the first people to have ordered a combo but yet no news on shipping. I call this bull for what it is.

Just had this from Amazon regarding the mavic combo
Stalin: I've checked and see that the release date of the order is November 4, 2016.
Please don't worry. Your order will be dispatched on November 3, 2016 and it will reach you by November 4, 2016 without any issues

I will believe it when I have the email from Amazon.uk that it has been dispatched

Well for me this may not be the light at the end of the tunnel but at least I do know that the tunnel finally has an end. Maybe I'll be lucky and get an update email saying mine will be shipped soon. Doubt it though as mine was ordered September 30th and they have 3 days of pre orders before they get to mine. Probably will hear something by the end of the week though.

DJI Chat just told me that they were informed by management that combo orders began shipping this morning and that they are shipping direct from China. He had no other information.

So the Chinese read right to left correct? Do they read the calendar that way too? Combo orders shipping so far have been October 17th and October 3rd. Now I'm pretty sure September 27th and 28th (like my order) came before, but that's just me.

How on earth is it possible for one of the first direct orders to not have priority over a reseller?

Beats me. I mean my payment went through in less than 45 minutes after they listed mavic up for order i.e. the launch event finished. I wonder what combo packages have they shipped.

I think it will be helpful if the people who order on 27 Sept, give a 'heads-up'. At least the poor people 'queuing' know what is going on.

For what it's worth,and I'm as urgent as any, I'd be surprised to see any tracking numbers showing up until at least late tonight. Is midnight in Hong Kong (12 hours ahead of US Est). Even if the factory is cranking right now, DHL and FedEx are likely not picking up orders. As an air traffic controller, I know a lot of the night operation for box haulers is sorting and getting planes in the air. My bet is late tonight, early tomorrow we will see some action. Even if they did pick up and ship late, I doubt DJI is gonna shoot out emails all night.

Not to be a DJI apologist, but....it is possible that your order has shipped, but not yet updated in DJI's system. This happened to quite a few of the standard Mavic orders where they received their ship notifications 2 days after actual ship.

I would think we need to let this situation bake in for about 24 hours to see where everything is with the combo orders.

Here's my opinion on the situation:

We all know the target customer only have money for one drone right? GoPro launched theirs and DJI absolutely needed to react like they did otherwise bye bye customers. They actually needed to pull the rug from under GoPro and stall their orders. Avery GoPro purchased is a DJI loss. The TAM (total accessible market) is not infinite. The longer DJI waits to launch the smaller their share of TAM becomes. This being said, put yourself in DJI's shoes, what do you do? Wait until you actually have stock or rush to release and take orders? They did what they had to do, launch and steel GoPro's orders. I am certain they knew they would get flamed by the situation but accepted the risk. I would have done the same.

The reality could be that their plan was always to deliver by December. I would certainly have planned for a Pre-Christmas delivery date to capture the best quarter for sales. What would you have done if they had launched in November for a December delivery? How many of you would have purchased a GoPro? I know I was about to do it.

What they did wrong is managing expectations. If at the time of purchase, they would have said December delivery none of this would have happened. They probably would have lost some market share but they would have kept a better reputation. All this being said, I will patiently wait for my drone as I still feel it's the best available.

I agree... Last time when they announced regular orders going out it was about a day before people actually started getting updates in their account.

There is only one combo pack, there are other orders with accessories, and some have shipped as seen on other forums, it seems orders with the bag seem to be slow, it would bar crazy if that's happening.

Which is funny, because the bag is probably the one thing I will not use from the combo pack.
