Question, do people recommend I add the Refresh package? Or some other extended warranty service?

This is always a tough choice for me. After the scares I've had with my P3 Pro and knowing how the worry of crashing in some scenarios can sometimes tarnish the fun of flying a little bit, I ended up getting Care Refresh. For me, it's worth it. For others, maybe not. As far as other extended warranties, I don't know enough about them unfortunately. I usually prefer warranties directly from the manufacturer for most things though.

Thanks Clong. Saw a story recently about a fly away. And because he wasn't using the app, just the controller, there may not be a log that he can access to prove it wasn't his fault. And the guy has had 5 or 6 different DJI drones and no problems with fly aways on these. And Refresh wont cover a drone that cannot be returned to them in some condition supposedly!

I purchased it, yet now i'm reading about how it doesn't cover it getting wet or fly aways. Not exactly the best insurance for as much as it costs

If you get disorientated and smash your Mavic into a wall, I think it's a great program to get your aircraft replaced.
ANd the chance of a flyaway is slim to none. And as far as getting wet, the aircraft is not meant to fly in the rain.
And if there's a malfunction (not user error) and it causes the aircraft to crash into water and you recover it, it would probably be covered by the warranty and not your Care Refresh.

Decided not to refresh anymore. It'll get here eventually. Gonna put the plastic Christmas tree up shortly with the family and enjoy a cold beer. Would be nice with a mavic under it though

It shows up on both, although some info appears on mobile but not on the full website. You will get an email only when a tracking number has been assigned. However, the mobile site will show the shipping company assigned and the full site will show the "Shipped" blue dot before a tracking number is assigned, so you may see those before getting an email. Just be patient and the email with tracking will come, usually within a few hours. If the current shipping rate continues, I wouldn't be surprised if yours ships next week sometime.

I received a note from DJI with the terms of the Refresh Care agreement, yesterday. They've started it, but the drone's doesn't arrive till midweek. I've sent them a note asking them to move the start to the estimated delivery date, but I've not had them confirm they'll do this.
Just mentioning as it may be best to buy it on the day of arrival (while your batteries and RC are charging

). While it's only a 3-4 days, you'd hate it if you had a crash just outside the coverage window.

I dont know if anyone else is with me on my thoughts... but here goes...

This will be my first drone... can't wait. I have no problem waiting for the drone, even if it is a crazy long time. What I personally find frustrating is the lack of info and updates from DJI.

Correct me if I'm wrong... but SURELY the following simple analogy works:

1) DJI MUST know how many orders they have for the mavic.... (whether that includes all the order from retailers etc or not)
2) DJI MUST know how many drones they are churning out each day.....

3) If DJI know how many orders they have, and are fulfilling them in the order that they are received (like they promised), then they must know where we all are in the 'queue' ... i.e. number 4500 in the queue.

4) If I am 4500th in the queue... and they are churning out 100 drones a day... logic tells me... ill have to wait about 45 days....

WHY CANT DJI DO THIS SIMPLE MATHS, THEY MUST HAVE THE DATA AVAILABLE.... SURELY!!!

Ill just keep waiting. Getting angry and upset doesn't speed things up, but it is frustrating to hear how DJI has 'NO IDEA' when the drones might ship. Such is life

@fans14cc0766 How did you go with getting DHL / DJI to sort out payment on the duties? Did you manage to get it sorted before they sent it back? Tracking is showing that mine's in Brussels, and should be delivered on Wednesday.

For others who've received their Mavic via DHL, did they request that you cover import duties and any advice, if so, on how to sort out.

@DJI-Ken - Any advice here on what to do, as this has come up a few times on this thread and DJI's undertaking that all import duties would be covered was one reason that I ordered direct, rather than through a reseller.

Today was a beautiful day in the South West of France for flying...

All the duties should be paid by DJI. You dont have to pay anything to DHL upon receiving ..
