Yep, very quick and easy to do. Just press, turn, release.
I have two ways to carry my Mavic:
- In the little camera-case-looking bag from DJI that came with the "Fly More Combo".
- In a DroneGuard 250 backpack from Lowepro.
...Usually, for casual toss-it-in-the-car-and-go use, I keep it in the backpack, because it's big and comfy and keeps all of my accessories nicely organized and protected. In that case, I leave the propellers on, because there's no reason to take them off: the Mavic fits in the designated compartment just fine with props on, and it's in a hard case that protects it from getting squashed, and it's more convenient that way.
However, if I need to travel light-- for example, if I'm going on a hike, and I need to stuff my Mavic into a hiking backpack, and most of the pack is occupied with hiking-related gear and the drone needs to not occupy much space-- then I use the "Fly More Combo" bag, which basically just holds the drone + controller + batteries and nothing else. When I carry it in that bag, I do take the props off, mainly because I find it to be a really tight squeeze getting the Mavic into that bag, and I just can't do it with the props on. So I take them off and keep them in the side pocket of the case. |
