On the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, if you have the "Built-in Mic Audio Backup" set to "ON", it will only record backup audio while recording video with the built-in mic. This is working as expected.
However if you are using a USB-C wired microphone (like a Rode VideoMicro, or whatever else), and then connect 1 or 2 DJI Mic 2 (the wireless lav mics), the camera will prioritize the DJI Mic 2's as the main audio for the video file. Even if you still have the USB-C wired microphone plugged into the camera, there will be no audio recorded from that wired microphone when the wireless lav mics are connected.
Summary of tested setup:
DJI Osmo Pocket 3 + USB-C Wired Mic = Audio on video file is from USB-C Wired Mic, in Stereo (if you set it to Stereo in the Audio settings)
DJI Osmo Pocket 3 + USB-C Wired Mic + DJI Mic 2 = Audio on video file is from DJI Mic 2, in Mono
DJI Osmo Pocket 3 + USB-C Wired Mic + DJI Mic 2 + DJI Mic 2 = Audio on video file is from both DJI Mic 2, in Stereo
I'd like to see the option to record the USB-C wired microphone as backup audio while using the wireless lav mics. This could be added to the same menu where "Built-in Mic Audio Backup" is.
The use case for this: using lav mics for a walking shot, and there's no wind sock for the internal mic, so as a user, I'd like to use the Rode VideoMicro or whatever USB-C mic as a backup audio source.
The current workaround is to use an audio recorder, or disconnect the DJI Mic 2 from the camera, use the on-board storage to record the lav mic audio, interviews, etc. and use the USB-C wired mic, connected to the camera.
