Just purchased the Neo fly more kit. Can you activate all three batteries at once by just placing them in the charger and fully charging.  Like the Avata2 batteries?

With the Avata2 activation and linking to my DJI account required using the supplied cable (USB-C OTG cable)and connecting the Goggle 3 to the smartphone and then launching the DJI Fly App.  Same for the Neo?

With the Avata2. Everything runs through the Goggle3.  Firmware updates for the controller and quad were "automatic".  Using the supplied cable attaching the smartphone and Goggles3 you just clicked the firmware update avaliable field and let it update. Quad and controllers were updated without needing to physically attach to the smartphone. Same for the Neo?

yes, you can put all batteries in charger to activate

you now can additionally directly connect your Mobile to Neo via WiFi and Control, Activate and update Firmware too.
I still recommend Assistant 2 if you have a PC, or Mobile>USB>Goggle>Neo, because the first time WiFi connection can be a little bit buggy.

Bit of a double post from another thread. For you Goggle3 users. Can you use the USB-C OTG cable and direct connect to the smart phone/DJI Fly App and activate, download firmware updates like with the Avata2?
Mac user. Bit of a go around to download software not from the Apple App store and unapproved developers.  The DJI Fly App, has so far worked fine when activating and updating the Avata2 system.
So I haven't downloaded Assistant 2.

So I haven't downloaded Assistant 2.

Not sure if you can activate/update via Goggles 3 right out of the box.
This depends on the firmware that is on your Neo when you get it. When I got mine it was not ready for Goggles 3.
So it's likely that you have only these possibilities for activation/first update:
Mobile Phone via Wifi connected to Neo
Mobile Phone via RC-N3 connected to Neo (if you have Flymore)
Assistant 2

After the first Neo firmware update is done, future updates can also be done via Goggles 3 and USB(OTG), like on Avata 2. Even firmware update with RC-2 (the controller with display) is possible. A direct connection between Mobile Phone and Neo via USB does not work.
