I purchased a DJI Air 3 Fly More Combo with RC 2 Controller on eBay last week. It arrived on Friday & I went to fly it on Sunday and everything seemed fine. I had to pair them, but the drone and controller connected two separate times. I could see the camera's view on the controller screen. I did not actually fly it as I was just getting settings changed and such.
Some time after that - I powered on the drone and controller again, and they absolutely refused to connect no matter what I tried. I spent a half hour on the phone with DJI technical support to no avail. They want me to wait a few days and try it again before sending in the controller and drone to them to troubleshoot. Would like to avoid that if at all possible! I purchased the drone for an event that was yesterday and today and I haven't been able to use it at all yet.
I'll attach some screen recordings and screenshots from the controller to show what I'm seeing.

Shows trying to pair via the typical methods & on screen prompts.

Shows trying to pair via Camera View > Menu > Control > Re-pair to Aircraft (Link)
I've tried following the on-screen prompts to connect it. The controller literally won't let me click "Pair". I tried going into Camera View > Menu > Control > Re-pair to Aircraft (Link). Neither work. I had the firmware updated on the drone and controller. I tried factory resetting the controller. I tried downgrading the firmware on the controller.
I can link the controller to my phone to do the Quick Transfer of the screenshots, and I can connect the drone to my phone via QuickConnect with no issues as well.
I don't think it's a hardware issue, but I could be wrong.
I am wondering if there's any way to completely wipe the RC 2 controller past what just factory resetting would do, and install the entire operating system and firmware update after that. That might be something I'd have to send it in for, but I feel like that would definetely solve my problem. I'm bamboozled as to why the factory reset wouldnt solve my issues.
RC Firmware 02.02.0300
DJI Air 3 Firmware V01.00.1500
Edit: I guess my controller was not totally up to date on firmware. I just installed 02.07.0000. This did not fix any of the issues.
