Following a dsicussion with @DAFlys , in which he suggested a particularly spectacular viewpoint in my neighbourhood,
I took a walk over the moor this morning with the Pocket2. Unfortunately, the mist rolled in and obscured the view

But at least it was established that the ladder stile has been replaced by a gate.

With better weather, I bet theres still a good shot there, probably from the drone with a vertical pano to capture the gate at the bottom and view in the top two thirds.

It's on the ToDo list for a sunny day. But it will have to be an afternoon shot due to the view looking ESE.

Ive seen some sunrise shots taken from along there that worked very well.

Well keep it on the list. Im assuming the best spot to park for a quick stop off would be 53.341808, -1.810081

and then walk down the road and up the grass on track just after the farm.

That's close enough, yes.
There's a gate into the field at this point:

53.340864, -1.810737

From there it's barely a 5 minute walk to the edge of Winnats, where the gate (once a stile) is located.
After passing that it's a right turn and then possibly 200m further, to the Winnats Viewpoint. I didn't go that far yesterday as the mist was too thick to see far. There would have been no point.

Brilliant, thats where I was looking to start the climb to it. Going to have to persuade someone to go back to cumbria.

It's a "Request" stop. You stick out your arm and the driver will stop and pick you up.
If you intend to get off there, you notify the driver when you get on.

Lol. Ive not been on a bus like that in this country for 30 years. Ive obviously forgotten how they work.
