The front screen is still on...even if we set it to turn off...the "always on display" is showed in the front screen...even if we dont want that...

always on display needs to be set to off

and single screen preview needs to be on

No, I just made a list of the things I thought weren’t good and things that were good imo. A couple of hours later, the new firmware arrived, so I’m guessing either they’re just touchy or the firmware fixed what I was complaining about.

Honestly …. Just a list of about 4 negatives and 2 or 3 positives. I think they’re a bit heavy handed sometimes or something gets lost in translation because it made me feel that there was something that they don’t want discussed ……

I've just tried the USB-C video out function and can confirm that it actually seems to work with a USB-C to HDMI cable.

The release notes say it only works with USB-C to DP, but when I plugged the HDMI cable in it switched to Streaming/Recording mode and DJI Mimo reports that the camera is in "DP out" mode (so Mimo cannot be used).

However, this function is not what I hoped for.

While it is a clean output, you cannot change any settings. You can choose the 'streaming' format (1080 or 4k) for the feed out of the USB-C connector but recording always seems to be standard video mode at 1080P50.

I could be missing something that can be set up beforehand but you can't access other settings or modes while the camera is actually outputting via USB-C.

This means that this function is pretty useless. I was interested in USB-C video out to connect to a field display to give me a larger monitor. I'm not really sure what this mode is useful for as it is.

Shot video today and noticed two issues and addressed, you can check out yourself;

1 lems boost keeps the wide on all modes when switching off

2 Hlog-m 10-bit uses 100% brightness where dji wants to conserve power they are wasting it in that color profile

3 timer-shooting stay tune for that issue

not true, this firmware like the last was there as an update to firmware as soon as camera connected to app on my phone. I was prompted to update and it was on main page.

I have the feeling that this firmware been gray for no more than 24 hours.

If they made it official they will correct issues in the next and call it grayware all over again. DJI outdid themselves on this one can not wait for them to start adding short cuts in

That would depend on the new lens design & fov since adding anything over it may cause vignetting so my gut reaction would be no but take that with a pinch of salt as nobody has seen it yet let alone have details on the increased fov it offers.

Would be great if they could bring a wide lens mode like on the GoPro ( horizon lock, 4K60 ) on the Action 5 for people using POV shots

Probably right Fish only on the fw beta test group not the alpha hardware group

All will be revealed on the 12th based on DJI comment & who knows we might see more than one accessory; be a bit of damp release just dropping a single lens mod maybe we get a close focus option to.

I just did a very quick test of the new firmware vs the Ace Pro 2 with both cameras in their respective night modes. This new firmware update appears to have made the OA5 much more natural looking and less noisy than the Ace Pro 2. A very good thing!

Yes, it’s been improved a lot.. I might try using it on dull grey Winter days here to see if it looks nicer than ‘normal’ mode . Although it does use a very high ISO range.

Usual release to store is around a minute prior ever timing but no event for accessories, not expecting fanfare likely just appear in accessories area.

Strangely Fish I can’t find the post where DJI-ytao stated the 12/11 date for release of the lens now, it was on one the fw queries posted has it been edited/removed perhaps the date share was a bit of a slip. I’m going to start screen grabbing I know I’m not going mad.

multiple lenses is not how DJI wants to go, but if you want find a ring to add to it and see if that modification way will work for you
